Like many of my recent pieces, Marker references memorial stones, those boulders which celebrate and memorialize that which is past or lost. The sculpture’s sheet metal skin, rough, weathered, and rusted, shows the traces of time and use. The form resembles a decaying monument, a signpost with no message, a meditation on time and memory.
